Drainage, grading, and grass - and we put the grass back.

We put the grass back.

Most drainage contractors dig a trench and leave. Every drainage quote we write includes turf restoration as its own line item, so you can see exactly what it costs. And we bring our own water - our hydroseeding unit draws on site, so there's no hydrant meter, no utility coordination, and no water line on your invoice.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR YARD

Tired of a Swampy Yard?

Flat lots, poorly drained soil, and runoff with nowhere to go turn yards here into standing water. Here are the five most common trouble spots we fix.

Standing Water & Puddles

THE PROBLEMLow spots stay soggy for days after a moderate rain, drowning the grass and breeding mosquitoes.

OUR FIXRe-grading, gravel-packed French drains and catch basins to move water off the lawn.

Wet Crawl Spaces

THE PROBLEMGroundwater seeps under the floor joists, bringing musty smells, high indoor humidity and the risk of rot.

OUR FIXPerimeter curtain drains and a discharge line that intercepts water before it reaches the foundation.

Water Against Foundation

THE PROBLEMGround that slopes back toward the house sends downspout water straight against the footing.

OUR FIXRe-grading to pitch water away, and buried smooth-wall downspout lines that carry it off.

Bare Spots & Soil Loss

THE PROBLEMRunoff strips the topsoil every downpour, exposing subsoil where grass seed will not take root.

OUR FIXSlope shaping, erosion matting, and seedbed preparation tilled to the depth the state specification calls for.

Washouts & Rutted Drives

THE PROBLEMFast-moving surface water cuts ruts through gravel drives, paths and roadside ditches.

OUR FIXRock check dams, dry creek swales, and re-crowning the driveway so water sheds off instead of running down it.

French drains, solid and perforated pipe, catch basins and discharge lines that move storm water away from the house.

Residential yard grading with tractor and box blade

Grading and site preparation to reshape the yard so surface water has somewhere lower to go.

Fresh hydroseeding green slurry on residential yard

Hydroseeding

100% paper cellulose mulch slurry. Seed, fertilizer and tackifier mixed on site. We bring our own water.

Silt fence installed with steel T-posts on graded lot

Erosion Control

Silt fence, erosion matting and blankets, wattles and inlet protection — installed before ground is broken and removed once the site is stabilized.

HOW IT WORKS

Our Simple Process.

No sales games and no jargon. We look at your grade, plan the fix, and stabilize the soil.

STEP 01

On-Site Evaluation

We walk the property, look at where the water goes, and measure the fall from the problem to the outlet. You get a clear, itemized proposal.

Commitment: Estimate turnaround within 24 to 48 hours.

STEP 02

Install The Fix

We install French drains, catch basins and culverts, and reshape the grade to move stormwater away from the house.

Execution: Grading and trenching sized for heavy Carolina rainfall.

STEP 03

Stabilize & Seed

We hydroseed the finished grade and pin erosion matting where the slope needs it.

Result: Ground cover that holds the soil while the grass roots in.

WHY YARDS HERE HOLD WATER

We Know Carolina Soil.

Flat lots and sandy Rains-series soils that hold water mean surface water sits unless there is somewhere lower to send it. Add ditch-fed drainage, crawl space homes, and roadside ditches, and where the water goes matters.

We measure the fall from the problem to the outlet before we quote. If there is nowhere lower to send the water, gravity is off the table and we will tell you that standing in your yard, not after we have dug a trench.

Low-lying residential yard with standing water after rain, roadside drainage ditch, ranch house on crawl space, pine trees, overcast sky

ONE MORE THING ABOUT LOCAL DITCHES

A lot of yards here drain to a roadside ditch, and that ditch has to be lower than your problem for gravity to work. If it is not, we will tell you before we quote, not after we dig.

    PERMIT COMPLIANCE SEEDING

    Beat the Stabilization Clock

North Carolina gives a grading contractor 21 calendar days to get temporary or permanent ground cover on exposed slopes after completing a phase of grading. The stormwater permit is stricter: 7 to 14 days depending on the slope. We handle perimeter controls before you break ground, then seeding and matting after each phase to keep your ground cover inside the window.

    Perimeter to Stabilization

Silt fence installed before ground break, temporary seeding, erosion matting, and fence removal once the site is stabilized.

    Paperwork for Your File

So your file has the documentation when an inspector asks. We write the seed species, application rate and the date on every invoice.

    Quick Paperwork

Same-day quotes, and a certificate of insurance on request.

    QUESTIONS WE GET

    Straight Answers.

Drainage problems are not mysteries, but fixing them means looking at where the water actually goes. Here are direct answers to the questions that come up most.

Do you put the grass back after you dig?

Yes. Every drainage quote we write includes turf restoration as its own line item, so you can see exactly what it costs before you agree to anything.

    FAQ image

Do I need a water hookup for hydroseeding?

No. Our hydroseeding unit draws water on site, so there is no hydrant meter, no utility coordination, and no water line on your invoice.

    FAQ image

What if there is nowhere for the water to go?

A lot of yards here drain to a roadside ditch, and that ditch has to be lower than your problem for gravity to work. We measure the fall before we quote. If there is nowhere lower to send the water, we will tell you standing in your yard, not after we have dug a trench.

    FAQ image

Can you keep my grading job inside the state's seeding deadline?

Yes. North Carolina gives 21 calendar days for ground cover after a phase of grading, and the stormwater permit is stricter at 7 to 14 days depending on slope. We handle perimeter controls before you break ground, then seeding and matting after each phase.
